Episode 10: Ultradad and the 3 Bear (stories)
Jul 11th, 2008 by ultradad
Today I tell about my experiences with bears. This past weekend a bear was spotted in our very residential neighborhood which made me recount the run ins I’ve had with bears in my running life. I’ve uploaded a couple of pictures of the beast as it lumbered past my neighbors house.
I also discuss product reviews and my apprehensions about the truth behind published product reviews. I have a solution!

Hey Ultradad. I thought I’d let you know that there are other people out here listening to you aside from Ashland Dave (I listen to him too). In any case, I like the newer format with the short and more focused topics. I like the TUNES segement as well - it’s just a little different and lets me know a bit more about various ultramarathons, who is running them, and how they turn out. Beyond that, I especially appreciate your personal thoughts on training. I listen to your podcast while running, at the gym, or walking home and it’s nice to hear you running through the wilderness. You and a couple of other people I know are making me seriously consider trail running and ultramarathons as my next step.
In any case, my running partner (Jeff) and I have a marathon training podcast called Running with the Pack if you want to give us a listen. It’s not the “runcast” format you prefer, but we have fun doing the podcast at a team.
Say hi to Coda for me.
